The National Youth Brass Band of Scotland

/The Albert Halls

The National Youth Brass Band of Scotland this year celebrates its 60 birthday. Formed in 1958 by The Scottish Amateur Music Association (SAMA) it has been a major source of pioneering musical development for the young brass and percussion players of Scotland.

This musical journey from its inaugural course to the present day has been supported by a number of significant Musical Directors:

Bryden Thomson, Geoffrey Brand, Richard Evans and the present M.D. Russell Gray.

This year sees an alumni band of former NYBBS players share the concert platform with the current Senior NYBBS band in a concert to celebrate NYBBS@60.

Tickets available on the door only, on the day of the event from 12.30pm.
