In August 2016 Markus Stitz became the first person to circumnavigate the world on a single-speed bike. In less than a year he cycled 21,500 miles through 26 countries and more than 38 times up Mount Everest, all unsupported, with as little gear as possible and no choice to switch gears. With pictures and videos he will bring the journey alive, and will tell you how a daily commute from Edinburgh to Bridge of Allan can be the best training for an epic adventure.
Stirling Cycle Hub will be offering a free led ride to the venue and back to Stirling train station. This will be a great social ride via Bridge of Allan following the National Cycle Network with Markus Stitz joining on the return journey.
Departing 6.30pm from Stirling Cycle Hub (Stirling train station).
