Stirling’s Tolbooth was once known as the worst jail in history! Now a Category A Listed public building, it is still an important building in Stirling and has a very long and interesting history. Many historic features remain alongside the modern intervention completed a number of years ago. Staff will be operating tours for visitors. Tours will commence at 11.00am & 1.00pm and will last approximately one hour. Tickets for guided tours are essential and must be booked – please call the box office on 01786 274 000 or Albert Hall Box Office 01786 473 544 to get your ticket.
Disabled access throughout – however the tour incorporates staircases and narrow doorways and is not suitable for people requiring disabled access.
