Having recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, Edinburgh’s Broken Records return in 2018 with the release of their fourth studio album entitled ‘What We Might Know’, released 30th March.
After a decade of solid US and European touring, two albums on the legendary 4AD label, the band re-united with producer Stephen Watkins (PAWS, Teen Canteen) and the result is a set of eleven songs deliberately stripped back to recapture the chaotic energy of their earlier work, and the ecstatic live shows the band are known for.
“Singer Jamie Sutherland has such an open, trustworthy voice, while the music matches his honest emotional heft” – Q
“Sweeping indie anthems” – The List
In support are Aberdeen’s The Little Kicks. The melodic indie outfit’s latest LP, ‘Shake Off Your Troubles’ (March 2017) propelled them once again to the fore, riding a wave of critical acclaim and BBC Radio airplay to such highlights as Vic Galloway and Janice Forsyth live sessions, playing Sofar Sounds alongside The National, and crossing the pond to play as part of Canada Indie Week.
Joining them are one of the brightest prospects from Stirling’s grassroots indie community – The Cobalts. ’60s Psych and garage influenced indie rock n roll, with a generous serving of Beatles-esque harmonies and pop sensibility. Not to be missed.
This event is eligible for a Young Scot Card discounted price of £6. Please present card when purchasing at Box Office.
